Useful guidance.
Honest limits.
Fuel is designed to help students plan affordable meals—not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions. We disclose what is estimated, what has been reviewed, and what users must verify.
Recipe and nutrition methodology
Nutrition, amino-acid values, serving costs, and protein totals are calculated planning estimates based on listed portions and typical ingredient data. Actual values vary by brand, measurement, substitution, store, preparation, and edible yield. A “dietitian reviewed” badge may be used only when the named reviewer has assessed that recipe and its recorded serving.
Allergies and dietary labels
Vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, and nut-free labels describe a recipe as written. They are not guarantees that packaged ingredients or a preparation environment are free from allergens or cross-contact. Users should inspect every product label and contact the manufacturer when safety is uncertain.
Personal health decisions
Protein ranges and meal suggestions are general educational tools. Needs may differ because of age, pregnancy, medical conditions, medications, allergies, eating disorders, athletic training, or clinician-prescribed diets. Users who need individualized guidance should consult a qualified clinician or registered dietitian.
Food storage
Storage and reheating guidance is general. Refrigeration temperature, cooking temperature, handling, packaging, travel time, and individual ingredients affect safety. When food has been stored under uncertain conditions, the safest choice is to discard it.
How Fuel protects data
- Collect only information required for a clearly explained feature.
- Request location or health permissions only when the user chooses that feature.
- Keep privacy-protective defaults and avoid selling health, dietary, or location information.
- Keep meal planning usable without health-tracker access.
- Do not activate tracker syncing until privacy, security, and professional reviews are complete.
